About us

Love146 University of Toronto Chapter

We are a group of students at the University of Toronto who are looking to discuss and spread awareness about current issues regarding human trafficking.

Our aim is to target this issue both locally as well as internationally with the help of our parent organization, Love146. Founded in 2015, the University of Toronto chapter will be the second post-secondary Love146 extension in Canada.

Our central task is to raise awareness surrounding the issue of youth trafficking, fundraise and liaise with other student organizations at the University of Toronto. We believe that it is important to bring together students of different academic backgrounds to address this issue on multiple dimensions.

Our goals for the 2023-24 school year are to support our parent organization, raise awareness about human trafficking, partner with other campus groups and raise a total of $3,000 for Love146 INGO.

Symbolism of our first logo- IIVVI

The barcode representation of 146 reflects on the treatment of victims of human trafficking as products. By showing solidarity with these victims, we used the barcode of 146 to not only show solidarity with the victims of trafficking as well as paying homage to girl 146, the basis of which our parent organization was founded.
