About

We are a group of students at the University of Toronto who are looking to discuss and spread awareness about current issues regarding human trafficking.

Love146 is an international human rights organization working to end child trafficking and exploitation through survivor care and prevention. The trafficking and exploitation of children is one of the darkest stories and most severe human rights abuses imaginable. But for us, the hope of ending it is a reality. Love146 is helping grow the movement to end child trafficking while providing effective, thoughtful solutions. We believe in the power of love and its ability to effect sustainable change. Love is the foundation of our motivation.

Welcome back!

If you were with us last year, you would know that we had an exceptional inaugural year. Our staff advisor, Dr. Bill Ju – who is still with us this year- and our past executive team worked hard to advocate our issue. For those of you who are joining us this year, let us share what our issue is. The Love 146 – University of Toronto Chapter was founded in September 2015 and we follow our parent organization’s mission to raise awareness to abolish human trafficking. Our central goal for our inaugural school year was to raise awareness for our club and the issue at hand. This goal has not changed, and we will continue advocating. With our last year being so successful, having raised over $1100 for our parent organization through various events, as well as raising awareness for our club and issue at hand, we hope to continue on to having just an amazing year this coming school year. This year, our goal is to raise over $2000, and resume raising awareness with your generous love and support. Our new executive team is working very hard to plan new and memorable events, so we hope you stay tuned throughout the year!
