Julia Kim is in her third year majoring in sociology and minoring in French and Spanish. In high school, she came across an awareness video for Love146 on Youtube. She was shocked to learn that there were roughly 20.9 million (estimated 24.9 million currently) human trafficking victims in the world. After she discovered that a quarter of victims are her age or younger, she became aware of her privileged status. Knowing the difficulty in approaching daunting problems such as human trafficking, Julia aims to make the cause more accessible to the public. A fun fact about Julia is that she is lactose intolerant, but will eat copious amounts of ice cream in the winter. She believes that it tastes better in the cold.
